My bags are packed and I'm ready to go....well my things are stacked, soon to be packed. I think I did a good job of packing light this time. One week away, starting in San Francisco and up the coast...yes the coast, crashing waves, healing salty mists, beaches, vineyards and family - a short stay with B's cousin in S.F.
Books - "Eat Pray Love" again...I read it the first time around and I really got the Eat and Pray part...could not relate to Love...now I can and I will read it with a different view this time. I'm also taking "Anais Nin The voyage Within", my music...and travelling music to share.

The most beautiful little boxes I've ever seen...I love boxes, especially wood boxes. I have several; secrets and treasures are inside each one.
I noticed these boxes straight away in a scene from "Nights At Rondathe". When I watch a film, I see the costume, set decoration and all the little details that make a scene. www.davidfinck.com is the artists who made these.

New books have arrived...seems I like to spend a bit of money each and every month at Chapter's ... I can't resist the 'free shipping'. My newest purchases; this beautiful book on India. The colours are simply beautiful.
The second book I bought is "Anais Nin, The Voyage Within". I'm looking forward to discovering this woman Anais.

That's all for now.

Just look at this little porch...this (what looks like a) cottage-y little house, all cozy and personal. The inside opens to the outside. I like this. Pure. Simple. And big enough for one, and some visitors. I could live in a little house like this very happily. Hmmm, this porch might work at my back door.
This photo is from www.serenaryder.com ...nah that's not me sitting on the porch playing the guitar, just in case you thought it was.

"and the day came when the risk it took to remain tight inside a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom"....Anais Nin

Each day there is something new in this world to discover...that is a journey I enjoy.

Today I found this wonderful blog belonging to Christine Alvarado http://www.dubuhdudesigns.typepad.com/ . Here is just one little sample of her amazing art (all images are copyrighted). Frida, a most interesting woman.
